As a result of being a ‘Dalek’, Ricky is sometimes invited to speak at ‘Dr Who conventions’. Another of Ricky’s many talents is a Compere and Organiser of entertainment events, including Palmers Green shopping festival.
Mr Toots is a wonderful entertainer and has a natural affinity with children, who in turn respond to the warmth of his smile and the fun of his magic. His shows range from 30-minute pre-school shows to a 2 hour hosted party shows full of fun-filled comedy magic and audience participation, with lots and lots of laughter. His secret is to utilise the energy of the audience, working WITH the children rather than AT them. A highly interactive show where all the children join in!

The diminutive Ricky Newby as Mr. Toots is a versatile entertainer who, having been a stand up comic working in theatre and pantomime, has also appeared in sketches with several of Britain’s top entertainers on TV including Ronnie Corbett, Morecombe and Wise, Engelbert Humperdinck, The Goodies, and The Young Ones. As Mr. Toots he has been on the Chris Evans Show and the Terry and Gabby Show. His many credits also include Butlins, Criuses including the QE2, various London Parks and has been on several Dr. Who series where he has specialised in playing monsters, including the Dreaded Daleks. In 2003 he was invited to entertain the children at Buckingham Palace for the Queens 50 years coronation garden party.
